These designs were submitted as a final project for an advertising concepts class I took. They evolved from a variety of drafts. Originally, I planned to showcase children utilizing the toys in various ways, such as a kid making his lion toy look as though it was hunting something or a different kid setting her warrior toy in a protector's position. In the end, my instructor--who was also a creative director for a local advertising company--suggested that I consider having the toys interact with each other, not with people. I liked this idea, for it opened more creative doors. One of the challenges I faced was the development of compelling scenes from figurines that bore only a handful of useful gestures.
